Mingmei Yip

Mingmei's new book, Peach Blossom Pavilion has just come out June 1 by Kensington Books! Peach Blossom Pavilion is a novel about the last Chinese Courtesan, or Geisha, who was a poet, painter, calligrapher and qin musician. 

Peach Blossom Pavilion is the first English language novel about the qin (featured prominently in the novel).

Mingmei will appear in many book events, listed below are the confirmed ones (there are many more to come). She'd love to see you in these events!

June 7, 14, 21, 28 (Saturdays) 6: 30 Sunset Cinema Series in Columbus Park, Pavilion Grounds, 67 Mulberry Street, Manhattan, Chinatown. (The park is south of Canal Street between Mulberry and Baxter Streets) Mingmei will be reading and signing her Peach Blossom Pavilion (with NYTimes bestselling author Jennifer 8 Lee).

June 5 (Thurs), 3:15-4:15 pm, reception 4:30-5:30 pm. Marymount Manhattan College Writer’s Conference. Mingmei will be the Fiction panelist (with NYTimes best-selling authors Carol Higgins Clark, Meg Wolitzer, Susan Issacs and others) 221 East 71st St, NYC 10021.

June 13 --20 Teaching Taichi energy exercise and reading/signing Peach Blossom Pavilio at International Women’s Writing Guild annual Conference at Skidmore University, Saratoga Springs, New York.

June 27 (Fri) 7:00pm Barnes & Noble at Tribeca. Reading/signing of Peach Blossom Pavilion with qin music performance, 97 Warren St (at Greenwich St), # 2255, New York City
